The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award is a programme of activities for young people. There are three Awards, Bronze, Silver and Gold. The Bronze Award is offered to pupils in Year 9 and there are opportunities for pupils to continue onto the Silver and Gold Awards.
In January a presentation explaining the Award Programme will be delivered in a Year 9 assembly. A meeting will then be held with pupils wishing to participate in the programme. Parents will be invited to this meeting.
Below are the policies and procedures followed for the programme, with a particular focus on the expedition section.
