We are disappointed that the 2020 leavers did not get chance to show their full potential in GCSE exams, instead they were awarded Centre Assessed Grades which were produced by the academy, closely following guidance from Ofqual. The DfE have announced that there will be no published national or school data for 2020 but we included some key headlines for information.
In a year when the new demanding 1-9 grade GCSEs have been introduced to all our GCSE subjects, our students have risen to the challenge and produced some fantastic results for themselves and the Academy as a whole.
Against a background of very little change in GCSE results nationally, we have seen an improvement in our overall attainment score (DfE Attainment 8) of half a grade per student and the headline figures for those achieving both maths and English at grade 4+ and 5+ remain stable.
